SAFE ENVIRONMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
We are committed to providing you with a safe environment and will be following the CDC, Department of Health, and OSHA regulations and local guidelines for specialty medical practices. Some of our new safety precautions and policies include:
- Reconfiguring our Waiting Room to make sure that social distancing rules of at least 6 feet apart are met
- Patients will be taken directly to Treatment Room by Nurse
- Prescreening of patients and staff to ensure they are not at risk for COVID-19, including temperature checks
- Patients cannot bring friends, neighbors, or significant others with them unless that person is “interpreting” for them or the patient is a minor
- Any patient presenting with symptoms of the virus will be rescheduled after clearance from their Primary Care Physician
- Patients will be required to wear masks as mandated by the Governor of New York
- First time patient forms are emailed to patients to be completed online prior to scheduled visit
- Providers and staff will wear personal protective equipment at all times to safeguard patients and fellow staff members
- Daily monitoring of staff and providers including temperature checks
- Installation of wall dispensing sanitizers
- Touchless faucets and soap dispensers in Patient Bathroom
- Thorough cleaning of all Treatment Rooms before and after patient visit
- Cleaning of waiting areas throughout the day
- Disinfecting of “common touch areas” such as doorknobs, credit card machines, etc.
- Exclusive appointment times for those patients 65 and over, and those with compromised immune systems
